Paris

It is difficult for me to write because I'm trying to separate my personal attitude from objective information, which I got. Frankly speaking, visiting Paris was disappointing for me. I'm sure you've heard enough stories about this city like I have. The moral of all of them was Paris and being in Paris were cool. So, when I went there I didn't know what to expect but it should be something, which would impress me much and I was very excited. You can imagine that when we arrived to a dirty city with a lot of hobos and litter in the streets I was shocked a little, especially after neat and clean Germany.

We went on two excursions around Paris: one by water and the other one by a double-deck bus. Also we walked a lot so I am able to say we saw almost everything which were recommended to see. I liked two things. They are the Eiffel tower and Notre - Dame. Others didn't impress me. La Tour Eiffel inside

Vedettes de Paris All those buildings looked similar gray and common. When I saw Sorbonna I doubted a lot if it was really true. I couldn't admit that the dirtiest building with broken windows was the famous European university! Finally, I saw an usual European capital (not more), making good money on its past glory. The prices were astronomical.

Maybe my impression from Paris wasn't so dull if a trouble hadn't happened with us at the end. We came to Montmartre, the place which I could call the source of  modern art because many artists had created their famous pictures there. We bought a couple of views of Paris in original (like a seller said). Then we caught a train and decided to look at our treasures. We discovered that they're artificial! I think you'll understand me if I say that I don't want to visit Paris any more. My curiosity was satisfied: I ate snails, French sandwiches (it's the whole loaf of bread with something like various kinds of French cheese inside) and saw Mona Lisa by Leonard de Vinci. Do you feel OK with this long baguet?
