Other Forms of Alternative Assessment

There are obviously many other alternative forms of assessment which may be employed.  Any of the following would work well, depending on your time, situation and opportunities:

Invite a guest speaker and have students ask questions, then write a summary of what they learned and a reaction to it. Have students interview a Jewish friend or rabbi. Have students research and plan a seder meal. Have students do a book report on a relevant work of fiction.   "The Chosen" by Chaim Potok would lend itself well to this project Have students do a project involving the Internet.
