Helping the VP Education to Complete the Schedule

The Vice President Education (VPE; see Current Officers) assembles a schedule that allows you to fulfill your goals within Toastmasters. Please e-mail the VPE, including in the e-mail this information:
  • Date(s) that you would like to be a speaker.
  • Date(s) that you would like to be the Toastmaster.
  • Functions (Timer, etc.) that you would like to do.
  • Goals, or desired CTM/ATM completion date.
  • Date(s) that you cannot attend.

  • If you do not want to be scheduled at all for 1+ months, then please also let the VPE know.

    Three notes:
    1. If you volunteer to give your speech before the date on the published schedule, then you are still listed on the schedule unless you notify the VPE and the scheduled Toastmaster otherwise. We request that you arrange a replacement (see below) for your previously-scheduled speaking slot.

    2. If you do not yet feel qualified to perform any role (Toastmaster, etc.) for a meeting, then please let the VPE or scheduled Toastmaster know before the meeting that you do not yet feel qualified. We will be happy to arrange for a veteran member to help you prepare. Also see the Roles and Responsibilities of Some Functionaries web page.

    3. The day that you are scheduled to speak, you should bring your CTM (ATM, etc.) manual to the meeting, so that the Evaluator can write the evaluation in the manual, and so that the VPE can initial your "Project Completion Record".

    Tips to find a replacement

If you are unable to do your scheduled role at a meeting, then here are some tips to find a replacement:
  •
  • Swap with someone from another week. (Arranged by private e-mails, phone calls, etc.)
  •
  • Convince someone to take your place. (Arranged by private e-mails, phone calls, etc.)
  •
  • If all else fails: Please send a request to speakeasy@sun.com alias, and follow up.
    Thank you!
