September 24, 1999 - Friday
Well, the typhoon is on its way. The wind is something fierce. It sounds terrible.
We don't have any rain right now. I'm hoping the typhoon will by-pass Tsuruoka,
but I don't know if it will.
Today was a pretty good day. I got a lot of Area Co-ordinator stuff done, and taught
a few lessons. Tomorrow will be difficult...I have 8 lessons, if everyone shows
up. Oh well.
My book - Sole Survivor by Dean Koontz is going really well, and I almost regret the
time I'm spending writing this when I could be reading! It's very exciting. I never
read Koontz until I came to Japan, but now I find that I am racing through his books.
They have a definite horror element to be sure, but they are darn readable and the
characterizations are pretty good. If you are interested, my personal favourites
are The Watcher and TickTock.
Anyhow, I've got things to do, pages to read, e-mail to write, you get the picture?
Next entry.
