Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
I did enjoy this film although I believe that the second and third films in this series
will be better. There was a lot of scene setting in The Phantom Menace
which made the film drag just a bit.
The acting was, as usual for a film of this nature, adequate. I'm not sure if it
was the theatre that I watched this film in or not, but I had an extremely hard time
understanding the character of Jar-Jar Binks. Natalie Portman
showed none of her earlier promise in this film and neither did Ewan McGregor
. Liam Neeson
was his usual okay, but nothing to write home about.
I do recommend this film for fans of the Star Wars saga, but don't hope for the full
Star Wars experience, YET.
