Those Beautiful Eyes - 17th June
2007
February 29, 2004, Sunday
The sun descends slowly into the horizon, leaving on the waves a shimmering splash of gold."
There
he stood, solitary in the wideness of blue
24th June 2001
The clock
The clock is ticking I'm alone in my room sitting by the window and the clouds crawl across the wide spread of blue
Ran my fingers through my hair opened the window as the world before me presented a clearer view
I picked up my guitar blew the dust off the frets pressed my fingers on the fingerboard and played like I used to do
But there's no music only droning sounds of monotony the fingers weren't able as the heart was no longer willing
The music of my heart plays an eternal melancholic tune emptiness overcomes me emotion no longer controls me
Slowly, it all begins to unravel my life before me the moments of ecstasy and the moments of sorrow
I put down my guitar placed my pick into my pocket sat down on my chair the clock is ticking
Glide on, my Delphinus Delphis - 29th November 2000
As I looked beyond the dusk horizon, across the sea of blue; The setting sunrays across the waters, the ocean deep and true; And suddenly, ripples emerge, and the calm waters crested to the flow; A most beautiful creature emerged gently, its splendour stood out to show.
With a splash of its majestic tail, the creature swam to me; Its magnificent head emerged from the waters, its joy obvious to see; "Glide on, my Delphinus Delphis" I said, as my dolphin dives away from sight; It glides towards the sunset, with its new found true love beside.
The Neverending Grasslands (15 July 2000)
The sun slowly rising over the
horizon,
The little cottage in this countryside, simple as it may seem; But for me, I'm a contented man, for in this cottage, I am living a dream.
And as I run across the beautiful grasslands,
For you have brought me to your dreams, your life as you want it done; And a beautiful dream tis', your life with your loved ones, in the neverending grasslands, blessed in the warmth of the sun."
And one fine day my true love told me, "My darling, our love has grown; the seeds of our love, a new little life growing in me, the one that we have sown."
A new life is here, a beautiful little bundle of joy, it was as pure as can be; The smile it gives, the soft gurgles it makes, makes life, once again, beautiful for me.
The day has come to an end, the sun has set, the stars and moon illuminate the grasslands, setting the mood; My fair lady beside me, the baby asleep, and I whispered to them, "life is good".
