Manage the unit's programme of
contracts won and ensure that the projects yield the agreed deliverables
on time and within budget. This includes management of the unit’s project
manager(s), scientific, and technical support staff.

Support the sales team to achieve
the revenue targets for the financial year by providing scientific,
technical and sales support to any customer queries and leading the
scientific and technical aspects of all bids.

– S-CLUB-11 kicks off! Rebecca starts a new job,

9 – S-Club-11 celebrated its 1st Birthday!
- Jan
15-16 – Phil flew Exeter to Edinburgh to see his Best
Man, Bill; not met up in 10 years! Met partner Laura and new baby
Claudia too.
- Feb
2 - Aidan’s 10th Birthday,
went to watch Exeter play
Accrington Stanley! Back home for party with some friends!
- Feb
6 – All New Revamped Family ‘Celebration’
Service started at Whimple! Phil (violin), Aidan (trumpet), &
Stasia (recorder) all join the mini-band/orchestra.

9 – Aidan’s first ever school football match – can you spot him in goal?!

22 – Phil showed Aidan’s Manor House class round the new Met Office.

5 – First met baby Emma Riley, 3rd
daughter to Phil’s sister Fiona and Pete.

18-20 – Surprise weekend away: Phil took
Rebecca to Bath!

21 – Aidan got Grade 1 Trumpet with
a Merit!
- Apr
9 – Cousin Richard Dominy &
Cathy’s wedding in Southampton. 3 young girls made excellent ‘unofficial’ bridesmaids!
- Apr
11-15 - Phil in Madrid again on business, installing new Linux
‘Horace’ software system and training forecasters. (Forgot
camera!)
- Apr
25-29 – Phil to Bourges (south of Paris) for NATO meetings. This time remembered
my camera! Famous for its beautiful
cathedral, but hotel restaurant
was equally dramatic!
- May
21 – Arsenal win the FA Cup –
much to Aidan’s delight!!
- May
23-27 – Phil away yet again! This time to Washington DC for an IT
conference: W2COG (World-Wide
Consortium for the Grid). En route home had a day in New York, but
then managed to lose my camera!
- May
29 – Jun 1 – To remote cottage
in the South Hams, with amazing
view, and near Salcombe,
Slapton and Dartmouth. To Lannacombe Bay:
surfing and kiting!
- Jun
10 – Stasia won a special Book Track
award for reading 100 books – she was even in the local paper!
- Jun
11 – Manor House School Fete: Aidan ran football competition, Stasia
fought ‘sumo-style’ with cousin
Georgia, and Phil competed in egg
catching contest!
- Jun
12 – SClub11 BBQ! Great fun with an
obstacle course and the parachute
was a hit again this year!
- Jun
13 – Phil & Rebecca started a 6-week ‘How to Drug-Proof your
Kids’ – early prevention is better than cure! Strongly recommend
it –excellent!
- Jul
3 – Stasia played piano in her first
concert – open-air!
- Jul
4-10 Whimple Village Week – Rustic
fun including walking village treasure hunt, country sports, and
cow-pat betting!!
- Jul
9 – Colyton Grammar School Open Day – visited with Aidan.
- Jul
11-12 – Aidan in school production of 101 Dalmatians.
- July
21 - Phil & Bec's 15th Anniversary!
- Jul
25-29 – to Norfolk again to stay with Bec’s sister’s family and heated pool!
- Jul
30 – Aug 6 - a week at "New
Wine" Christian Family Conference again! (in a kindly-lent
camper van!).
- Aug
13-20 – staying in bungalow
on hill above Polperro, S Cornwall.
- Sep 11 - S-Club-11 starting up again!
- Oct
3 – Phil to start out on a 3-year part-time MBA At Exeter Uni.
- Nov 19 – Aidan
sits his Colyton School test. (Results not ‘til March!)
- Easter 2006 – May
visit Bec’s sister’s family in Phuket – working with World Vision to
rebuild after the Tsunami.
