Guns was bitten by the photography bug after a flying trip up to Medford, Oregon. When his point-and-shoot pictures of Mt. Shasta came back, the natural perfectionist in him was deeply disappointed and that was when he decided to move seriously into SLR photography.
Wanting to learn the very basics, he started with an all-Manual Phoenix P1 camera, and there he learnt the fundamentals of Aperture, Shutter Speed and Depth-of-Field. However, the loss of spontaniety, especially when photographing children, was unacceptable, and Guns invested in a Canon SLR system, with 28-80 and 100-300 Lenses.
A good friend and colleague (now ex-colleague) Vijay Cavale got Guns hooked onto Bird photography and he invested in a Sigma 170-500 Zoom lens.
Today Guns' photographic energies focusses on Birds, especially birds of prey, Children and is keen on photographing aircraft at airshows.
