Fortinbras is kind of an extension of Claudius to me he wants to be a part anyway he can, I think that the play needs him because he is the only bad one left for instance claudius and laertes are gone that is a huge chunk of the story, Hamlet leaves Horatio to tell the story and pass it on for the years to come. Claudius leaves Fortinbras I think unintentionally to give Horatio hell for the years to come. If hamlet clues Horatio in then he that much more ahead in the long run. Fortinbras brings his army past Hamlet to try to show a sense of control but that didn't phase him one bit. I never really got the real reason why he actually did that.I think that is the biggest reason for leaving them so that the story could go on.

Act V was a very important act. It was very powerful. Without this act the book would not have been a tragedy.
Act V Scene I was both sad and entertaining. It was very sad to find out that Ophelia drownded. But her death wasn't as sad when they gave her a good burial. The gravedigger was entertaining. The conversation between Hamlet and the gravedigger was very comical. Then there was the little fight between Laertes and Hamlet. I found that entertaining too.
Act V Scene II was where all of the other tragedies took place. It starts off with a heated sword fight that is entertaining and funny at points. Then people start dying left and right. The Queen dies. This is sad because she didn't deserve to die. Then Laertes kicks the bucket because of his own treason. This sucks, but I really didn't care. Then Cladius is killed by Hamlet. Yes!! Its about time. Claudius deserved it. That part made me happy. And then Hamlet dies. This is lame. This sucks. Hamlet didn't deserve to die. But it couldn't be the tragedy of the Prince of Denmark if he didn't die. Act V was a very tragic and interesting act.

My personal impression of this play and this act are very much close to one another. I think that the play is a great play and has a great place in literature. I beleive that the effects in the play and the use of a "creative" language really make this play a classic. I liked all the aspects of Act V, except the mass murder at the end. It just was a sad way to end such an amazing tale. I think that Shakespeare put an emince amount of time to put together such a complicated set of plots and themes. The themes would be that of murder, greed, and love. I think that Horatio and Hamlet make the perfect duo. Also that Ophelia and Hamlet were meant for one another. They were both crazy. All in all I think that this is one of the best plays that I have ever read and that Shakespearian theatre is the greatest form of theatre in the world. Shakespeare was a master playwright, a master poet, and from tales told a master with women.
