QUESTION:

I know an old lady who has asked for manat if her wishes were fulfilled then
she would keep 15 fasts. Now its almost past over one and a half years and
she cannot keep the fasts as she is very ill and has high blood pressure etc. 
She wants to know if she can compensate for it and how. I think my question
is clear .

ANSWER:

As per Agha Seestani, when it becomes impossible to fulfil the Nazr, it
becomes void. However, in this case it is Mustahab for her to give
compensation by feeding one needy person to his fill, once for each fast not
kept.
