Please find below a question on creams and lotions to which the reply was kindly

Question:

We have been using the Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion (Hand Cream)
for some time now, and it was recently brought to our attention that
this product contained animal by-products.
We called their Head-Office in the USA and inquired, and they told
us that it does indeed contain animal products, but NOT from the
swine, so it most likely is from the cow.

What would the ruling on using this cream be?  They said that they
are not allowed to send out information on what it exactly contains
but they assured us it was not from the pig.

Can one use this cream, since we do not know if it is from a maitah
or if it is taken from some other part of the animal?
I would appreciate the rulings given by Ayatullah Seestani and
Marhum Ayatuallah Golpaygani on this issue.

Answer:

Using of this cream is permissible. The ruling of the both the Maraji' is
same in this case.
