The reply to my questions should be based on the rulings of Ayatollah Syed Ali Seestani. I would like to know whether Kadayanis (they do not believe Prophet Mohammed to be the last prophet) are Najis or Pak. I ask this question because in Geneva we are a small muslim community and are often invited by them for lunch or dinner parties. In such case should one go to such parties or should one stay away from them. ANSWER: Ayatull.. Sayyid Ali a-Husayni al-Seestani writes "An infidel . . . is najis... And similar is the case of those who deny Prophethood, or any of the necessary laws of Islam .." (Islamic Law, p.18). Since the belief in Nabuwwah includes believing Prophet Muhammad (s) to be the last and final Prophet sent by the Almighty for the guidance of humanity, anyone disputing this is denying the apostleship. The Qadiyanis/Ahmadis are those who deny Prophethood and therefore they are Najis. God knows best. Kassamali: With regards to the following answer, does it mean that according to Ayatollah Seestani, all non-shia's are najis, including Christians, Jews, Sunnis, etc.? RESPONSE: The Sunnis are tahir according to our maraji`. As for the Ahlul Kitab (i.e. Christians and Jews) they are also tahir according to the fatwa of Ayatul.. Sayyid `Ali al-Husayni al-Seestani.
