QUESTION:

I am following Aga shistani and back to Aga Khomeni and leaving in Pakistan.
I am going for umrah in the end of Rajab and wants to wear Ehram and perform
niyyat at Karachi Airport and after landing at Jeddah Airport will directly
proceed to Makkah for umrah. Please advise me is it correct and can I travel
in Bus / taxi during day time after landing at Jeddah airport while wearing
Ehram



ANSWER:

The Ulema are unanimous in that that the traveller to Umra and Hajj can
perform what is called a Nazr (Lillaahi Alayya..) for purposes of wearing
Ihram outside the Miqat. However, this must be done from a place before
reaching the place where the Ihram is to be donned.

Thus you can do the Nazr in Karachi that you will wear the Ihram at Jeddah
Airport. You cannot wear it in Karachi Airport.

Taking cover under a shade whilst moving in the state of Ihram is not
permissible for man. As a matter of precaution according to Ayatullah
Seestani, there is a Kaffarah of one sheep should you do that. Your Ihram
and Umra, however, remain valid.
