Jake's Poem

After writing a poem for Chelsea, I thought
I'd better write one for Jake as well.
So here it is.

When Jake arrived the lions roared
And the trumpeters blew their horn.
Everyone was so excited
Because a baby boy was born.

A boy they whispered joyfully
We haven't had one of those in years.
They hugged each other tightly
And erupted into tears.

With little hands and little feet
And a little button nose.
He's just so cute and cuddly
From his fingers to his toes.

He pulls funny faces
And laughs at us all.
He's got so much character
For someone so small.

There's no baby more special
Find one if you can.
This one's name is Jake
And he's our little man.
