My experience on Blue Streak was a good one. I got to not only do extra work but a little technical advising as well. I tempararily joined a group called "911" . They do advising for Police and Military Procedures and I was their token female. I got to dress the other police extras and answer simple questions on procedures. This also meant I didn't have to hang out with the normal extras and I got to see alot more of what was going on around the set!

I discovered that Martin Lawrence is really afraid of Dogs! He had a scene with a police dog who was suppose to growl at him and Martin pulled the director aside and had a long talk with him before the scene. He did the scene but you could tell he was really nervous about the whole thing. I think the thing that struck me the most was how much of a crowd followed Martin around the set. He had a guy that held his jacket, a guy who held his water, a makeup person, a guard, a hair person and people who were just around for moral support! Martin didn't socialize much with the crew and cast. He pretty much was in, did the scene, and then went back to his trailor.

Luke Wilson was much nicer around people. I think at the time he had just broken up with Drew Barrymore, but he was very friendly. He is a nice Texas boy as were several others on the set.

I played a bullpen detective in most of the scenes which meant I got to wear Jeans! I have a few good scenes in the bullpen. I also noticed that I am in the trailer for the movie, of course only I would know it was me since I am so far in the background. I'm getting into a police car behind the lead female who is talking to Martin in a truck! Squint and you might see me!
