Wow what a process!! I was cast because of my Fencing Experience. I was supposed to be the "fencing team captian" for the college Fencing Team. I had 3 days of work. The first day they didn't used me as a fencer just as a generic student. The second day again as a generic student. They had a fencing booth set up and they ended up putting two young males in it (not fencers). I was starting to get the impression they didn't like the fact that I was a girl. The final day I was supposed to have a fencing bout, a tournament. I show up and they have us wait. Turns out they hired some guys to do the actual fencing. As the story goes....the director asked them what fencing looked like... they showed him...he didn't like it and asked them to choreograph something instead. They finally brought me into the scene and sat me down almost completely off camera. They said "action" and the guys started punching each other and slashing each other and then one guy disarmed the other and stabbed him with both swords...needless to say I was shocked. At that point I was sooo glad I wasn't involved after all. It was the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Then they had us all dance to "hit me with your best shot". I assume that was for the final credits. It is a straight to video so don't worry about looking for it in theatres.
