History of Simbang Gabi
In the Philippines, the masses takes place at dawn between 4:00 to 5:00 a.m., starting December 16 and ending with the midnight mass on December 24th. It is one of the most significant liturgical traditions dated back in the 17th century Filipinos.

Simabang Gabi (Mass at Night) is a Filipino spiritual tradition of celebrating nine days of advent masses in prepartion of the faithful for the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ and in the honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
