Mirror Match

I had always wanted to draw comics. Unfortunately, I don't have the skill nor time to do this. Perhaps this is the reason why I sympathize those who draw webcomics. It is true I don't support every webcomic artist I see, I support only those whose works I like.
Do I envy them? Perhaps. But I know they are struggling with their everyday life to keep their comics alive. That's why I want to encourage them. I try to draw fanarts and, sometimes, fancomic.

One of the webcomics that I like is Rules of Make-Believe (RoMB). The story revolves around a VR fighting game called Gorge Fusion (GF). I want to make a fancomic for this webcomic. I hope I can finish this. It will be a good practice for me.

I intend to use this image as the flier/cover/splash image for the comic. I was afraid that it would reveal too much of my plot; but from the replies I received in pOnju's online forum when I posted this image there, it seems that I can still hope that my plot will make Ju-Lian, the artist of RoMB, and Shinyu, the webmistress of RoMB, amused.

The two guys in the front are Chinmi and Chinmi (hence the title "Mirror Match"). Both are from mangas by Takeshi Maekawa. The Chinmi on the left, who looks like a pianist/clerk, is actually a 9-ball player who specialized in jump balls. He is from the manga Break Shot.
The other one, who looks like a delivery boy, is actually a (highly skilled and resourceful) martial arts instructor from Dairin Temple in the mangas Kungfu Boy, Tekken Chinmi, and Shin Tekken Chinmi. The last three series take place in the same universe and are chronological, but were drawn in different parts of Mr Maekawa's career. These two guys will play against each other in a GF game.

The two fine men at the background are their fighters in the game. The left one is Fujiwarano Sai, the go-playing-1000-year-old ghost in the manga Hikaru no Go. He is a brilliant go player.
The men on the right is (surprisingly) a historical character. He is Zhuge Liang (a.k.a. Kong Ming, Zhuge Kongming). He is known among Chinese as a highly intelligent person. He served for the Shu-Han during the period of Three Kingdoms in China (AD 220-280).

I still think that an introduction like the one above will give out what I have in my mind for the fancomic. So much for an introduction, enjoy the drawing!
