I drew this for Tsunami Channel weekly drawing contest. The theme was "Mobil-suit/Robot/Android". Well, I used to like shows like Shaider and Kamer Rider when I was still in elementary school and secondary school (I honestly still like them, but I do not find them as cool as I used to). Back then, I did not have a chance to draw them due to lack of references. Now, I have the internet (and Google image search), so why not draw something similar to those?

I had some fun drawing this. The sword was based on Kamen Rider Black RX'. The design was a mix between Shaider, Jiban and Janperson. The character that I wanted to portray was Saitou Hajime's. By Saitou Hajime, I mean the character in Rurouni Kenshin, not the historical Saitou Hajime. Thus, the stance is a complete rip-off of the Gatotsu.

I am pleased with the colouring. Somehow I could make the surface look shiny, and the smoke at the background is not too bad either. The big let-down is the proportion. Just after I finished inking, I realized that the legs are too short.
