SOME VIEWS OF WORK IN THE PRECINCT IN JANUARY 2001

The east collonade in front of the Temple of Mut was excavated a number of years ago.
This season we were able to proceed with the remains of the west collonade.

A concerted attempt has been made in the last season and this one
to completly excavate and move existing statues of Sakhmet
and fragments onto cement bases to protect them from ground salt.
