This poem was generously provided by Ron Wright. Basically it's asking, "Does your walk correspond with your talk?"
I have a little poem that I think you all should hear,
For it has some words of wisdom that you have not heard this year,
And it's all about the three tongues we all use every day,
So listen up real closely to what I have to say.
You know as well as I do that your mouth does not have three,
And if perhaps you are not sure, then take a look and see.
But to find the other two tongues here are the simple clues,
Just bend slightly forward and look down at your shoes.
That these two tongues speak louder may be a big surprise,
Even though the one in your mouth may make a lot more noise,
And often times they disagree, no matter what you say,
Your mouth is going one road, but your feet the other way.
So please make sure your one tongue is agreeing with your shoes,
That all three tongues are telling everybody the same news.
It would be very smart of us before we begin talking,
To look down at our feet and see the direction they are walking.
