Memorable moments: the suggestion that His Stellar Highness create the Order of the Onyx Phonics, after His herald announced him as Michael, PRINCESS, while reading out a scroll The introduction of Ilissa, Queen Witch of Meridies Brandr Wyborn was publically spanked for leaving his squires belt behind at a demo. And Da Family of Small Gray Bear presented Their Excellencies of Grey Niche their entry in the best severed head competition: the much decomposed head of Billy Ballrog.
Notes from the Court of HRM Ailgheanan at Silver Hammer, 10/28/00 HRM welcomed all who had come to the event and thanked Thor's Mountain for lots of fun. He then welcomed forward any of the populace who wished to swear fealty. Mistress Rosemounde was called forward to conduct Baronial business in the absence of Her Excellency, Mistress Godelind (who had to leave the event due to illness). Sir Godfrey was called forward to be recognized as the winner of the Silver Hammer tourney, and awarded the (really cool) sword of victory. Lord Ursus Grimm won the rapier tourney, prize was awarded earlier. Lady Theodelinda came forward to recognize the A&S winner, Lord Ronan. Lord Ludwig announced that Master Olehan was the winner of the archery tournament, and presented him with a hand done scroll. The Ladies of Thor's Mountain were called forth to present the Silver Heart to... THLord Tormod. The Shire of Glaedenfeld presented HRM with a letter of credit and various gold and silver nuggets (of chocolate.) HRM called forward everyone present who participated in Panhandle Skirmishes and granted each 50 acres of land. Count Cedric took Lord Ari of Vulpine's Reach as a squire (with a 'very long' belt); but wait, there's more, Ari was also awarded the Order of the Argent Comet. Andrew Hawksmoor was called forward (and the Crown decided the whole family should come forward to be witness) to receive the Order of the Cygnet. And as an 'afterthought,' Aaron was Granted Arms. Leila bint Hamid came into court to call forward those who had participated in the Pages school. While they assembled, the King asked the first arrivals if they thought 'Lady Leila' sounded good. They thought so, and the Crown Awarded her Arms. Thorgrimm Keltonson was Awarded Arms, and received the Order of the MeridianCross. Kelson of Stormriver was given the Order of the Argent Shield. Kristina Dimtriov presented Zachery, son of Lord Duffer, a bear token, in thanks for his assistance to miladies Evelyn, Zelda and Kristina. Mistress Marthe Elsbeth of Oak Hill came into court to take as her first protégé, Lady Qaylah bint Aamir. The populace seemed to enjoy the reading of the contract. The Crown then awarded Qaylah a Grant of Arms. House Ashley came forward and the elevation of Lady Jehanne du May to the Order of the Laurel took place, amid great pomp and circumstance. Lady Juanita de Tiegan presented HRM with 'His Excellency, Bobo, the Monkey. THLady Anne made announcements related to Troll, then read the Meridian Cross scroll for Lord Ruahrain. Antonio dela Vente, after a 10 hour drive to come visit us, was Awarded Arms. The Order of the Argent Rapier was awarded to Lady Tangwen. THLord William McNaughton and Baron Sir Harald were given the Order of the Guiding Hand. Lord Davic of Vulpine's Reach was Granted Arms. And in a finale extraordinaire, Richard Fenwick was made a Baron of the Court. And court was closed so HRM could *eat*.
Coronet List: 5-15-99 The four finalists in the Gleann Abhann Coronet List, were Duke Stephan, Earl Padruig, Sir Loric, and Sir Kaus. If I recall correctly, Sir Kaus and Duke Stephan were the last two in the winners bracket. Kaus put Stephan in the losers bracket where he was then bested by Sir Loric. Loric would go on to defeat Earl Padruig for the right to fight Kaus for the finals. Kaus took Loric in two to become the Heir to the throne of Gleann Abhann with his Ladywife Lady Susanna Eisenrose at his side. In a related story... Flying blue monkeys have been reported in the vicinity of Small Gray Bear.

CandleLight Camp: 2-26-00 Viscount Sir K'aus was the victor of the Baronial Protectorate Tournament Lucas Vondemschwartzwald was the victor of the Fledgling Tournament Damiano eli Belini won the Light Weapons protectorate. Melandra of the Woods won the on-site Bardic competition. And in court... Owen "Toothjerker" Deykin and Bronwen O'Neil of Small Grey Bear both recieved Awards of Arms and Onyx Chalices Hrothgar Fiscibana recieved a Silver Ram Their Stellar Highnesses Eric and Christine asked Sir Rashid to join their entourage... My source wants to say they asked him to be champion, but she didn't hear it very clearly. The Incipient Shire of Evensong Forest was recognized by the Barony with the Order of the Bear's Heart, a new award recognizing individuals and groups who live outside the Barony. Viscount Sir K'aus Eisenhand and Baroness Gabrielle von Straussburg both received the Order of the Compass Rose. Aleena nic an Bard and Edwin of the Shady Grove were inducted into the Order of the Morning Star. Iain Sealgair received the Silver Bear.

_Meridian Court from Gulf Wars, March 17, 2000_ Court open with a warm welcome from HRM Aengus and an offer to all to swear fealty. The Queen of Caid was welcomed into court and asked to summon Lord Aidan McKay to court. HRM presented Aidan with the Coer de Bar (?) of Caid, an award for chivalry and prowess, for his efforts fighting the opposing team. The Queen then left for other courts. Leon Jeronimo Lobo Suarez de Barcelona was summoned into court to receive his Award of Arms! Huzzah! The children were called forth to receive gifts from HRM Meaghan. Matthias de ? was awarded arms. Scotty McCarra came forth to announce that, because he lost a mundane bet, he would be dispensing wee drams of Scotch at the back of court. And TRM announced that a group had lost a site they had used for many years due to alcohol being found on a dry site. They asked that the populace pay attention to the restrictions and rules of the site, that we may keep the sites we have. Ódhrán mac an Aba was Awarded Arms. Mistress Diana of the Isles took an associate. Artemis Androson was called but did not respond. Earl Padruig the Younger came forward to apologize for his weird sense of humor and the umbrage it raised; HRM Meaghan gave him the forgiveness of the crown. Sir William Reed took David Douglas as a squire. Mistress Brigit Olesdottir came to court to present Varinka of Eversley with the Order of the Broken Brank, with a special scroll done by Baron Robert. With that piece of business done, she turned over the office of Kingdom Chirugeon to Lord Morgan of Osprey, making him a Master Chirugeon as well. And Lady Annabelle du Mont san Michelle was warranted as a chirugeon. Anora de Kaan received her Award of Arms. Isabetta Marie de Galabria received the Meridian Majesty, and a proposal of marriage (from the herald, not the Crown), the handfasting to take place in Ardenroe. Countess Linnet MacLeod announced that Sir Michael of the Mace was selected as the Most Chivalrous in the Rose Tournament. Gwinnett Carr and Yseult Montague made announcements regarding the Page school activities. Ethan Dunmire was awarded Arms. Bragg McMoricai was recognized as the Best Performing Artist in the Mardi Gras parade and awarded Large Beads. Geoffrey of Warrington was awarded the Order of the Argent Shield. Anna Nicolette Petrokova announced the link of Mistress Irina von Smeterling to Grey Niche, and invited everyone to their Family Reunion. Geneviera Brematti was given the Meridian Cross. Aubrey de Vair was Awarded Arms. It was announced that Dame Fianna and Dame Fiona would be in the main hall at 1:00 on Saturday to do reimbursements. The Order of the Velvet Owl was called forward to recognize a lady brewer from the Barony of Small Grey Bear, Lady Sophia von Thurningen, now deceased. Her scroll was accepted by the Baroness of Small Grey Bear. Their Excellencies Shaul and Francesca, Baron and Baroness of Axmoor, stepped down, and it was announced that the investiture of their successors will be at St. Bogdacious. The Crown made them Baron and Baroness of their Court. The People of Personna presented them with a marvelous box filled with gifts. The Order of the Bough was called forward to accept Isabel the Mad into their ranks. The Court of the Principality of Glenn Abhann (the speed court) opened with TRM consent. Ethelred ne Owen received the Order of the Silver Ram. Maximillian Braun was made the Captain of the Black Company. The Glenn Abhann Stellar Navy received the Order of the Ram’s Heart. Adena MicBrennan received the Order of the Onyx Chalice, including an Award of Arms. And the court of Glenn Abhann was closed. And the Court of TRM of Meridies was closed. And we went off to party. . Saturday, March 18, on the field of battle, Court of TRM of Meridies was again opened. TRM were joined by TRH Gareth and Sabine, and TRM of Calontir. Earl Michael Bohan took Connor MacFie as squire. Then Sir Gwydion was called forth and begged a boon of the Crown. The Chivalry of Meridies were summoned, and then the Chivalry of the Known World were invited to join them. The Herald summoned THLord Dragolen (whose full name I do not know) into court. The Crown asked him if he was still willing to accept the rank of Knighthood, he agreed. A Duke from Calontir came forward to present him with the Knight’s belt. Countess Calleja presented him with the sword. Sir Harold Bovarsson gave him the buffet. Jarl Aligheanan brought forth his spear and Earl Robert of Auk tied on his spurs. Sir Gwydion told Dragolen to swear fealty and accept the chain of fealty from his sovereign's hand. Dragolen swore fealty holding the hands of his sovereign and accepted the chain from HRM Meaghan. And three cheers rang in the air.
