I wanted to send a thank you note and I would appreciate it immensely if the maintainer of this list would forward a copy of this letter to the appropriate parties (no pun intended)
To all the good Gentles of the Gleann Abhann and Shadow Legion
I would like to thank all of you for helping to make my first Pennsic War a truly memorable experience. Even though none of you knew me, you gladly accepted me as a friend. The only difference I felt between your encampment and my own, was that I didn't know any of the stories, and that was soon remedied.
I would also like to say that I had a lot of fun serving at the Meridies Party. Sound crazy? Please don't call the nice young men in their nice white coats till after I get a chance to explain. It wasn't the job, it was the people....okay the margaritas helped too. Together we had a lot of fun hawking Magic Meridies Muffins to poor unsuspecting passer-bys and getting them to eat all of that food.
I would like to thank a couple three people in particular.
First and foremost, I would like to thank Baron Larkam, a truly sweet gentleman. He made sure I ate and helped keep me from falling over when I overdid things. He helped me clean up my blade so I could fight, and got me a good deal on a new one. Best of all he hauled me to your encampment and introduced me around. I can't thank him enough for all of this and more.
I would also like to thank Captain Freiman and Sergeant Rixa for letting me in the Meridies Lyrical Poets Brigade's Ladies Auxiliary. It was a night filled with crazy half-trashed people engaged in horrible, despicable acts of depravity...and it was the most fun I had the entire war. I only wish Rixa had stuck around for the male belly dancer (can you believe the other girls wimped on stuffing dollarbills in his loincloth?). What can be said about Friemann? He's a minstrel, a flirt, a scoundrel, and a rogue but he's a lot of fun to be around.
I was asked what I thought about Pennsic and I found that I could sum up my feelings in one word: AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for being a big part of it
