From Afar, The Fool's Advice, and Thunder Fading

From Afar
(by Sandra Pancoast)
What light through yonder realms
filters through the misted air,
and beckoned by the shadows here
calls mystery from its lair?
What sound from yonder worlds
echoes through these rooms,
and beckoned by the silence here
its reveled song resumes?

The Fool's Advice
(by Sandra Pancoast)
Warm the sun in the palms of your hands,
and cool the moon with your gaze,
spiral the hours with your heart,
and with starlight conquer the days.

Thunder Fading
(by Sandra Pancoast)
I hear a sound
like thunder being poured
through a funnel,
and overhead glimpse
the rice-grain speck
of an airplane,
racing across the pale sky
like a pearlized ant,
while the sun burns
in the amber horizon,
like a brilliant
golden ice cube,
flushed with purples,
melting slowly.
