Snowfall
(by Sandra Pancoast)

Behold the cloud dust on the ground,
the frozen carpet of powdery white,
that buries all below it,
and hides it from the winter light.
It captures in its fleeting mold,
things the eye might miss --
the imprints of all that touches
its expectant white surface.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Autumn
(by Sandra Pancoast)

Trees stand like torches,
flaming against sapphire sky,
red, gold, orange, brown,
blazing bursts of rich color,
waiting for winter.

Time
(by Sandra Pancoast)

Our futures dance with fire
in the green fields of tomorrow
hoping past will aspire
not to let the dreams be burnt
by the flames we light today.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Dandelions
(by Sandra Pancoast)

Sunbursts in the green
transform to snowballs on stems,
the air breathes with wind,
Poof! then cloud dust fills the sky,
seeds fall, new weeds grow.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Deer in the Forest
(by Sandra Pancoast)

Without warning,
came crashing,
-burst through,
blur in brown,
and white,
sudden graceful leap
-flight
into the green and blue.
