I saw a Light
From, I know not where
So I went forth
Toward the Beacon that called
Never fearing the Unknown
The Light warmed me, enriching my soul
Reminding me to trust
Finally I reach a Door
I hear a Knock Fear overtakes me
Daggers of Darkness surround me
Who is behind that Door
Always the Light has been good enough
Why must I meet this Stranger
I can manage...Alone
But wait-Why am I afraid
With the Light there was no fear
So if I am afraid, then Where is the Light
I have followed it faithfully
Where did it go
Then I hear another Knock
--Who are you
--Why am I afraid
--Where has the Light gone
--What do You want
--How do I find the Light
I heard a voice...ever so soft
"Child, do you hear me"
-Yes, Father, I do
"Why do you not answer the Knock"
-I am afraid, Father, it may be a demon
"It may be My Son"
-The Shadows of Darkness envelope me Father
"Do you have Faith in the Light My child"
-I have always followed the Light Father
|
"Then Where is it"
I had walked the straight path-Toward the Light
Never looking back to the Shadows that followed
So I turned around-there was the Light
But in it's Center was an Abyss of Black
I turned back toward the Door
There was another Knock
"Will you answer the Stranger, My Child"
-Your Son calls to me, Father
"Why do you hesitate"
-I am not worthy Father
"In My Son there is only Acceptance and Love"
-But the Light will Blind me Father
"No, child, it will only Burn away the Darkness"
-Can I share the Light Father
"That is all you will want to do"
-Then I will open the Door
As I did-I saw The Son
Christ the reflection of God
In the Twinkle of His Eyes I saw myself
My reflection in Christ
