Where I am Coming From

I was raised an atheist, my father was an aerospace engineer & my mom was a science teacher. We were taught science is fact and religion was created by man to explain the unknown. Out of 7 children I am the only Christian, the rest think I am crazy. When I was 12 I began reading the Bible so I could understand what was "wrong" with Christian's beliefs. The more I studied the more I saw that Christian's seemed to be reading a different Bible. I explored many different beliefs to learn about this thing called faith.

In my opinion they all lead back to the same place, the Bible. Although I could find many faults with Christian dogma & doctrine, I found the Bible to be full of Light and Love. The main thing that confused me about Christians was their beliefs about gays. I was in high school when Anita Bryant began her crusade. I could not comprehend the hatred these people were feeling in the name of God. How could a loving God hate His own children? Later I found out He doesn't.

To make a long story short at 27 I reached the bottom of a dark pit. I cried out in my desperation..."Why am I being punished?" I couldn't believe that if there was a God that he would punish me simply for not believing. Then a voice came from deep within my heart, "You are not being punished, you are being taught, you just refuse to learn your lessons."

That day was only the beginning of a wonderful relationship with God. It was a year or so before I came to accept Christ as my Savior. Although I now believe all spiritual paths have there place for growth and peace, I also believe that the only way to know the Father is through the Son. I have had only 2 instructors in my religious education Christ and the Holy Spirit.

I have yet to join a church because many believers have accused me of following demons because the wisdom I have learned from the Holy Spirit, contradicts the doctrines they have been taught for centuries. For example, I believe there is some place somewhere known as heaven with pearly gates and heavenly angels, but I also believe this paradise has been created through the belief of all the people who have put their faith into it. I personally believe that the True Heaven which Christ taught is within each of us, the True Heaven, the Heaven that is the Home to The Virgin Mother, The Holy Whore, St Joan, the disciples....The Throne of God, this Heaven lies within the essence of every child of God.

I have experienced this Heaven, I have found Eternal Life hidden within a moment of time, no beginning & no end. You have been there too, perhaps only in your dreams but you know where it is even if you are lost right now. In this place I have sat upon the lap of my Lord and cried upon His shoulder. In this place there is peace. But we cannot find this place alone, we must be lead there by the Holy Spirit, in Love. There is no sorrow in this Heaven, no judgment, and most of all no fear. You can discover your true self in this place and learn about the Mysteries of Heaven.

Some religions teach that Christ dying on the cross & rising the third day is a mystery, but it is not, every one knows this...the Mystery of the Cross is that we are Children of God, Christ lives within us, we are the second coming of the Messiah with Christ as the Head of the Body. It is only when mankind truly awakens to our divine nature that we will be able to banish the Beast (evil) to the pit. Too many believers take all this too literal, when in reality it's all about the spiritual evolution of the World of Flesh.

I believe that to be born again in Christ you must die to the past, shed the shackles that have been placed upon you by your parents & the world around you. Awaken to the child of God you were born to be...pure and innocent, Holy. The Bible teaches that you can be forgiven for everything even blaspheming God or Jesus, but blaspheming the Holy Spirit is the only thing that will remove someone from the Book of Life.

"There are only two kinds of immoral conduct.
The first is due to indifference, thoughtlessness,
failure to reflect upon what is for the common good.
"The second type of immorality is represented by 'the unpardonable sin'
of which Jesus spoke--deliberate refusal,
after reflection, to follow the light when seen."
Living Philosophies (1931) - Robert Millikan (1868-1953)

In essence, to deny who we are in Christ

I personally believe that it is an insult to God to assume all He has to say to His children can be limited to 66 books nor can it be adequately expressed in man's limited vocabulary. I believe that for 2000 yrs man has tried to fill Christ shoes, when in reality all we need to do is let Him fill ours. I guide my life by the two greatest commandments "Love thy God & Love thy neighbor" unfortunately in my experience I have found it is difficult for some people to love their neighbors because they do not love themselves. Nor do they Know their God.

I have yet to find anywhere in the Bible where it teaches that believers must go out and convert the world. I understand that all we should do is share with others what we have gained in our walk with God. Witness what Christ has done for us personally. God does not need us, we need Him. I believe many non-believers walk with Christ without even knowing it, and many believers wouldn't know Christ if He came up and kissed them on their lips.
