the passing of our time-
thinking any day I could be lost
of you or you of me
I know you have it in your mind

to think of growing older-
and bearing shorter days
where time would have us sleep less
making us grouchy and bolder

that I'll have to move along-
because time is good for memories held
but it's not good for holding each other
