Over Again

I guess I just want too much
to change the world for good
I'm not a hard-ass or anything
just want things to go as they should.

I've got power and authority
but there are others with more
I can't change the world
and the world has no door.

So what good am I, stuck
in someone's opinion of how it should be
and those who just don't give a damn
and have accepted that it's just society.

That's not the way I am
and I will never be that way
how do you go about changing the world
when everyone else settles for decay?

Do we talk to the president
or call out the maintenance man?
we can pray for Armagedon
to come earlier than planned
maybe it's only then
we could start all over again.
