Falling Stars

Tonight I have arrived
to a point in the middle
the epicenter of a time
where the stars are brittle

I wonder if you learn from me
not to settle into tandem
but to keep in form of laying
stars may fall at random

and if you're looking up
you might catch them in your eyes
arriving to view it all again
falling stars don't always mean demise

but only if caught properly
when you're standing at a place
you must be holding a hand then
when you turn upright your face

there must be lack of noise
stop, be still, and listen
falling stars are only as loud
as the dust that makes them glisten

you must open a target soul
they do not like empty jars
you'll only catch one if you believe
every night, God taps the stars.
