Little Eyes-a-Fire

Dancing around the moon
trying to bring the rain
rather unkempt, the empty tomb
from where it was she came.

Her people call her
Little Eyes-a-Fire
shooting outward
to rustle the tribe
no rain strong enough
for her desire
calling the spirits on their bribe.

She knows she makes her mark
another daybreak to still her soon
but in every minute of the dark
she dances around the moon.

Little Eyes-a-Fire
lay no claim to empty tomb.
