Given Moment
I sit in solitude, my aloneness
at any given moment, you can find me there
half alive, half sleeping
contemplating what fills the air
at any given moment.
Separated from the disciplines
from the world apart my being
by a wall I built long ago
climb and you may send me fleeing
at any given moment.
I might remain still though
and you may try to touch
but if you do, do softly
I may acknowledge I need that much
or I might just break
at any given moment.
