Innocence
Have you ever watched a kitten
who's never been outside before
venture out onto dewy grass
in a big world to explore?
Just like a child almost
beginning to live and learn
at first he didn't like the wet
but he gave it a second turn.
I sware he started dancing
when the sun lit on the ground
and Mr. Curious ran into the fence
when the first morning bird flew down.
It's funny how the little things
can make such a difference
laughter fills my heart today
so close to innocence.
