In Your Eyes
Winter kisses when your lips were blue
and your eyes halfway frozen, tears
you stayed a little long
gone by, there, older for the years.
Spring waters, running free
you weren't with me or anywhere
in your eyes a spark of wild
a time or two you didn't care.
Summer breezes, hot muggy nights
now and again I'd still your heart
from the flights of those hours
where your eyes tore me apart.
Fall floating in the winds
leaves like passion in your eyes
leaves, ah yes, leaving
perchance clearing like harvest skies.
I realize
I can see it in your eyes-
you keep staring at the floor
I can see it in your eyes-
you're moving on to something more.
