Choice

We made the decisions
we had the choices
to stand and fight
or silence the voices
to leap off the edge
into the wild
or settle here
in the bland and mild
Seagulls fly
turtles crawl
clouds float by
and rainbows fall
but we stood still
to think we had it all
now I think it was
just an effort to stall
having to make the choice.
