Halfway

Still not adjusted to day
the quiet is too desired
not in tune with the people
and the world that they've conspired

is life dark or light
black or white, or another
day or night, wrong or right
am I halfway to one or the other?

I don't fit in there
in any one theme
lost I guess you'd say
is there truly a grand scheme?

Does it include being
halfway in between?
