Reckless
He says the way I drive scares him.
I say the way he makes love scares me.
I don't heed brake lights quick enough
and I whiz through yellow lights.
I fix my coffee while maneuvering traffic.
He points out the people ahead, walking
and I look up just in time to see
mad dashes to get off the shoulder.
He says if I cause his death, he'll haunt me.
I put the pedal to the floor.
He grabs my knee.
He loves fast and long
and in all the right places.
He makes me say I'm only his
and that I love him.
I am and I do.
He tells me I can't leave him as he fills me
with every inch he knows is beautiful.
To leave would cause his death.
He kisses softly, licking warmly,
whispering
he wants to marry me.
He purrs. He growls.
He wakes the neighbors.
He isn't done when I think he is.
We are reckless...apart.
Perfect...together.
