Seeking Restitution

You broke my heart
so I'd really like to know
how you plan to pay to fix it
it's worth a lot of dough.

I didn't give it to you
you outright stole it
I wanted it back in one piece
but you felt need to control it.

I'd call the law on you
and have you arrested
I'd put you in the courtroom
and have myself attested

to tell the judge that I want justice
something in exchange for what was stolen
broken to pieces on the floor
mercury now of what was golden.

It will never, ever be the same
ruined to give to anyone from now on
a lifelong disability, I claim
the sentimental value gone.

I want something but nothing
would suffice to satisfy this unfree
wouldn't matter if you won the lottery
you can never justify
what you took from me.
