Land In Idaho

He'll have land in Idaho
and a log cabin by a lake
he will wish for me to come
if nothing but for rest's sake

He said he saw the moon
and it reminded him of home
up into the mountains
where he'll woodwork all alone

He makes things out of driftwood
out on the beach, he walks
to look for just the right pieces
ones that say "we are grandfather clocks"

He likes the inspiration there
where one can create outside the box
up there within the Indian country
not escapable by the way he talks

He'll have land in Idaho
and far love close for me
says it's the way to the top
to set my creativity free

The photographer and painter still
the writer, musician, and guest
I think very much to go
off to the beautiful Idaho
if only to get some rest.
