Memory
Walking past the fairgrounds
I remember the lights
it's always in the winter
those cold lonesome nights
that I see a face
when I look back from the carrousel
the sounds of the fun
the cotton candy smell
Roller coasters and hotdogs
let's say they just don't mix
the games and fortune tellers
the birthday guesser you tried for kicks
Many years I took my kids
and I never remembered until tonight
but as I was walking by
I saw a flash of light
that had to be you
another memory passing through.
