Over-Rated

Love is over-rated, I think.
People change their lives, their directions
and always end up asking where they would've been
if it hadn't have been for certain connections

Time-lines, like spider webs
do you ever think about how many times
you come close to death and don't know it
how many suffer for other people's crimes?

I can't help but to ask myself
why are you still standing here
like some traffic guard to direct me
with no faith in my ability to steer?

Sometimes I wonder why you even bother
you look at other maps, and I sink
into some mild layover, awaiting connection
love is over-rated, I think.
