I'm M.J. Born Michael Joseph Carney on March 28, 1982. I now sign my name Michael J. Matteson, and most people know me as just M.J. I live in Glendale, Arizona; but have lived in Flagstaff, Phoenix, Buckeye, and Kingman as well. I presently attend Ironwood High School and my goal is to go to Notre Dame for college. In four years of high school I have attended three different high schools. I have my choice of calling Buckeye Union High School, Kingman High School, or Ironwood High School my alma mater. There's not much to tell about myself, other than what's obvious on this web page. I write poetry profusely and love photography. I'm pretty active in my high school(s). This year I'm involved with Ironwood High School's NHS(historian), SEA Club(president), Yearbook(photographer and digital), and Ironwood's Web Page(senior editor/sports editor). I also am very involved in community work coaching men's volleyball at Landmark Middle School for two consecutive years and was involved with Landmark's Science Olympiad team as well as Sahuaro Ranch's team. I guess I'm a pretty likeable guy, most people like me. I don't spend all my time on the Internet, and this web page has been just a challenge that I took on when I was bored. I think it's turned out pretty well coming from someone who doesn't know jack about html or the like. My web page is a place where I can share my thoughts and poetry and photography without worrying completely about what other people think about it. It's a way for me to expose my stuff without actually exposing the whole me. Those who read my poetry and know me personally get a closer glimpse of me, and yet won't get too close understanding me completely. They can only understand parts of it, and the only one who will understand it completely is me. It is a way for me to share without sharing it all but releasing it all from within. I know this is all sounding weird and maybe I'm babbling, but it is my best explanation for my web page. Thank you for visiting and come back again. I'm always in the process of adding and changing it. And please drop me a note either by way of my address book or my e-mail address.
Thanks,
M.J.
