I Know
over the years
-though few I have-
there has been many experiences
-though many more will come-
I have had many friends
and much sadness
all in the few years I have.
sometimes things happen
that cause sadness.
I have left a place
I knew well
I left many friends
I knew well
and when you leave sadness happens
I know all too well.
I have this sadness
it strikes,
attacks,
and breaks you,
suddenly,
quickly,
and without warning.
I miss these friends that
I knew well.
Harsh Tears
Inward tears
fall upon my heart.
These harsh drops
are sudden.
They strike at times
not expected.
They flow
like a waterfall, unending.
They crash
into your soul, wickedly.
Then they vanish
as sudden as they appeared.
After they vanish
you long for them.
They cause you pain,
but you still long for them.
Longing is
inevitable.
Longing occurs
always.
Why must you
thrive on such pain?
Why must it
cause pain?
Why does it
happen so suddenly?
You ask yourself
questions often.
All will be
unanswered.
Fall!
you tears.
Flow!
you tears.
Crash into my soul!
you harsh tears.
Inward tears
fall upon my heart.
Harsh drops
of uncertainty.
Loneliness
You feel lonely
But not alone
You feel sad
But not spiritless
You feel uncertain
But certain that
Your missing friends
This loneliness is the worse
All other feelings
Seem dismal in comparison
Life must go on
What's done is done
But it all does not stop
The loneliness
Wasted
Time spent here wasted, wasted.
Why'd I come here in the first place?
Pain felt deeply, pain repeated.
Time spent here wasted, wasted.
Experiences experienced,
But was it worth it?
Time spent here wasted, wasted.
Two years of heart ache,
Two times of pain.
Time spent here wasted, wasted.
Familiarities unfamiliar,
Treasures of time delayed.
Time spent here wasted, wasted.
Was it necessary,
To leave the first time?
Wasted!
Was it necessary,
To feel such pain?
Wasted!
Was it necessary,
For these things to repeat?
Wasted!
Time has been wasted.
Pain has been felt again.
