Hokey-dokey. This is where you can find links to some pieces of my creative writing.
I've always enjoyed writing and, for a brief period in high school and college, I did a fair amount of it. Then harsh reality kicked in and my writing to an extended hiatus. Now I'm trying to get back on the horse. Skinner and Nod is an adaption-in-progress of a multi-part comic book script I wrote in 1994. I'm re-working and re-envisioning it now. When (and if) you read it, please bear in mind that it is very much a work in progress, most likely with a whole load of grammatical and style errors.
With that said, I'd very much appreciate comments and criticisms--constructive or otherwise--on the work so far. In fact, I'm looking for volunteer proofreaders for any or all of my stories. You can email me at jdhawkins@madison.k12.wi.us.
Note #1: Both Shadow Stepping and The Picture in the House are unusual in their approach. They both also contain some graphic language and imagery.
Note #2: Word versions of the files require a password to edit, but not open, the files. If you want to be able to edit them (for proofreading purposes, etc.) contact me. Otherwise, you can just click the "Read Only" button.
Note #3: The Palm versions are zipped. This is mainly because it's the only way Geocities will allow me to post the files, but it has the benefit of making the download quicker. If you don't have one already, you can get an unzipping utility from Download.com. You'll need a Doc reader on your Palm to view them, of course.

A work in progress. Since this story is going to be larger than my other stories, I'm making the web version of it available in sections. If you wish to see the whole product (well, as far as I've gotten on it) you can grab the Word version. |
