Picture It!: Students will follow the directions on Activity Card 25b. They find a picture of friends in a
magazine. Students cut it out and paste
it on a half sheet of construction paper.
Students will then write a sentence about their picture.
Word Search: Students will practice their spelling and vocabulary words.
Writing/Games
Gardens: Students will work in small groups to write about gardens. Students will write 3 things they know about
real gardens. Students will then write
3 things about a pretend garden.
If I were President....: Students will use the prompt to write a story
about what they would do as President.
Stories should be at least 4 sentences long. Students will work independently.
Tangrams and More
Map Reading Skills: Students will work together to complete a worksheet. Afterward, students will create designs with
tangrams and pattern blocks.
Math
Math Skills Practice: Students will work
together to complete a worksheet. Next,
students will play one game of “Math War.”
After completing each activity, students may use the other items in the
math center if they wish.
Computer/Library
Performance Math and Math Blaster: Students will practice their math skills
using the computer programs. Students
waiting for turns on the computers will be reading in the library center. After their turn on Performance Math,
students will use index cards to practice their Language Arts vocabulary words.

There will be 7 individual
assessments this week. They are:
Language Arts: Practice Book pages 54 and 55, Spelling Test, daily
seatwork
Math: page 145 and 146, daily seatwork
There will be 4 individual assessment that will be completed in
centers.
