My Movies

I also have a great love of movies.... I go to the movies as often as I can, and I love renting movies. Here are some of my favs.

Dirty Dancing

I know, I know. But I can't help it! I just love this movie, it's wonderful. I swear I could watch it once a day. The dancing, the love story... I love it. I'm a sucker, but I don't care :-)

This is one of my favorite parts of the movie. When I was a kid, I thought the character names were Micky and Sylvia. (Unless you've seen it, you obviously wouldn't understand.

My favorite Quote:

Johnny: I've never known anybody like you, Baby. You look at the world and you think you can make it better. If somebody's lost, you find them. If somebody's bleedin'...

Baby: Yeah, I go get my daddy. That's really brave. Like you said.

Johnny: That took a lotta guts to go to him. You are not scared of anything...

Baby: Me? I'm scared of everything. I'm scared of what I saw. I'm scared of what I did, of who I am. And most of all...I'm scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life, the way I feel when I'm with you.

The Complete Dirty Dancing Website -- This is a pretty good site, lots of pictures, good cast section.

Dirty Dancing -- I think this one's better, though, IMHO. Better Quotes, the complete cast. However, the trivia link doesn't work. Bummer.

The Wall

This movie isn't well known, unless you are a great Pink Floyd fan, like myself. It is wonderful! Very well done, very artistic, and you will come away with a whole new appreciation of The Wall (the cd).

This image is from the movie. It is a must see for everyone, but especially if you are a fan of the band!

I would include some sites here, but all my sites that have info about the movie are the ones that are listed on my music page, under Pink Floyd.

The Breakfast Club

One of the all-time classics, definitely. If you haven't seen this movie, you don't know what you're missing! I've see it quite a few times, and have a poster hanging up in my room.

Coffeerooms Dharma's Totally Eighties Pretty good site... contains a lot of good quotes from the movie. Also has links for all of the main actors/actresses.

The Breakfast Club - The Neo-Maxi-Zoomdweebie web site! This site is much better, a lot more information... check it out!!

Run Lola Run

.

There's a great movie theatre here in Blacksburg, VA called the Lyric. They play a lot of obscure movies. Not too long ago I went and saw this movie there. It's a German movie, with subtitles. It was fantastic. They really know how to make movies in Germany.

Run Lola Run A great site about this movie, including other sites. If you get the chance, check out this site and see this movie.

American History X

This was a very moving movie. Probably the most moving movie I've ever seen. It really makes you think about our society, about how ignorant and terrible it is, even after all these years of "advancement" and "enlightenment". This society is never going to change... hate and ignornce are always going to exist. This movie actually made me cry... it was amazing.

American History X The best site I've seen for this movie.
