PAUL'S SUPER FURRY ANIMALS PAGE!!!
This is a new page dedicated to the
Super Furry Animal's. I am writing this on 7/10/98, and have never made
a web page before, so I realise this page is currently a bit
very crap, so please bear with me.
Please note that this page is still
under construction so bits are missing and the stuff that is here is not
as good as it soon will be. Also note that I have designed this page so
that you can save this page and all the links will still work, as everything
is on one page.
If you have any comments, questions
for the FAQ's, or abuse, e-mail me at paulsfa@geocities.com
Lots of the items in the table below
do not currently function. The underlined ones link to other parts or this
page.
NEWS
I have heard
a rumour that SFA's are going to support the Manic's as well as Catatonia
on their Christmas tour. However, this is NOT CONFIRMED, and is unlikely
to happen.
A SFA's B-Sides album is coming out
in November, which for some reason does not contain Calimero, one of their
best ever songs.
SFA's new album is coming out
in April or May 1999, and is currently untitled.
GUITAR
TAB
Guitar tab for
most SFA songs is available from THIS
SITE . This is a great site, and I am going to ask them
if I can put this Tab onto my site. Until then, you'll just have to go
there.
LYRICS
As above, go to
THIS
SITE to obtain SFA lyrics. They are quite accurate, seeing
that Gruff's singing is difficult to understand at the best of times. They
even have Welsh lyrics, so all you English and Foreign SFA fans can sing
along to Calimero, Arnofio/Glo In The Dark and Torra Fy Ngwallt Yn Hir
at SFA gigs! I am going to ask if I can use their lyrics for this site
also.
UPCOMING TOURS
SFA's have not announced any forthcoming
tours, and are not touring their B-Sides album. There is a rumour
they are supporting the Manic's on their December Tours,
but this is unlikely to happen.
FAQ's
If you have any questions to ask e-mail
me and I promise to answer them in this section. If I don't know
the answer I will put the question on this page for people to e-mail me
their answers.
Q) Where can I get
"The Man Don't Give a Fuck"?
A) "The Man Don't
Give a Fuck" was released as a limited edition single , and entered the
chart in number twenty-something. It was released on C.D. and 12", and
both formats sold out within weeks of release. The C.D. contains the song
and 2 extra mixes of it, and the 12" contains the song and 3 extra remixes
of it. The extra remix is also available on the promo C.D.
The Promo C.D. sells for £15-25, the C.D. and 12" for £10-20.
If you shop around you can find these cheaper than the prices quoted above.
TMDGAF is being featured on the forthcoming B-Sides album, and is also
available on the bootleg, "The Man Don't Give A Fuzz", alongside 3 SFA
gigs broadcast on Radio 1 of about 6 songs each, and Y Teimlad, a cover
of a Welsh song about 10 years old. If you want to buy one of the original
singles of TMDGAF look at ads in Record Collector, or similar magazines.
Q) Are Cian and Dafydd
brothers?
A) Apparently, although
I am not 100% on this. I have been told they have different surnames because
that's what people do in North Wales. It also said they were brothers in
NME or MELODY MAKER, so they probably are.
Q) Did Rhys
Ifans from Twin Town used to be in SFA?
A) Yes, although
contrary to popular belief he doed not feature on SFA's Angst releases.
He sung with SFA, and I am not sure if he played an instrument. Bunf has
stated in interviews that all the SFA songs recorded when Rhys Ifans was
in the band are on tapes in his house, and that's where they're staying,
unfortunately.
Q) How do you say
Gruff's name?
A) It is pronounced
GR-I-FF, with an I instead of a U.
FANZINES
I have never seen a SFA Fanzine, and
to the best of my knowledge none exist. If anyone knows of one please e-mail
me with details.
