Baba’s words on meditation

When the waves become totally free from curvatures, when they become fully and finally straightened, one attains the state of Anandam, the highest state of human existence.

This vast Entity is infinite and integral and the insignificant unit entities remain in bondage due to their obsession with meaningless thoughts of mundane objects like name, fame, wealth, etc... They are mere ripples in the ocean of the Cosmic Entity.

Sit for a while in a lonely place and try to feel the presence of Parama Purusa.

In order to attain Him, you have got to outstep the limit of you mind and along with it, you will have to leave behind all the pleasurable and sufferable junks of your distorted mind.

Separate the mind from cognition or consciousness, and see that His resplendence lightens up your whole inner being.

Realize the mental elevation of divinity and merge this into the endless stream of Divine Mercy.

Once there is love, there is no difference. You and Parama Purusa become one.

It has also been said that only by moving towards the Supreme One, leaving all other entities, and totally surrendering oneself with all the sweetness of life emanating from the deepest recesses of the heart into the infinite sweetness of Parama Shiva- only in this way can one attain the Supreme Benevolence -and then only can one attain self-knowledge.

An uncovetous devotee, bathed in the purity of devotion, wants nothing for himself. He wants only Him in exchange of his own self.

A devotee performs Sadhana only because Paramatma wants this. Thus a devotee performs sadhana only to please Paramatma.

If you love someone, you can know his secrets. The intellectuals think of the Lord from very far, while the devotees feel Him very near.

Devotees never complain. Only the intellectuals complain. Intellectuals complain because their hearts are barren. Devotees know that they have been graced by the Lord.

The Yogin having control over the Sahasrara Cakra attains Nirvikalpa Samadhi, a state where he is beyond the approach of all the Vrttis.

A spiritual aspirant, a Yogi, must give up all his egoistic sentiments. And in the next moment he will be in the proximity of the Supreme Father.

O Parama Purusa who is ever new and beyond the range of mental cognition, give me shelter at Your feet.

When Parama Purusa was all alone, He was obviously unhappy. He was One and became many, and began to joyfully sport with His creation.

Knowing one-self is the real knowledge. Serving all with the ideation of Narayana is the real action and the vow to please Parama Purusa (beyond the witnessing entity) is the real devotion.

Although He is hard to attain, He is not unattainable. One whose existence is saturated with the flow of knowledge, action and devotion can easily attain Him.

This is not the terrestrial Vrindavana, but the Vrindavana of the devotee's heart. In this Vrindavana, both the devotee and the Lord are there. They are playing the game of hide and seek- now He attracts the devotee, now He hides Himself.

The moment one thinks of His excellence, the moment one thinks of the sweetness of His divine existence, one becomes totally lost.

One may try in vain to persuade the mind to desist from thinking of Krsna but even then the mind will think of Krsna and nothing else.

For Every man the most proper name for Parama Purusa, the most suitable name, the most activating name is his own Ista Mantra.

If you take the entire Universe as your object and not any limited terrestrial thing, you will become one with Parama Purusa in that very instant.

One can attain freedom only spiritually, for freedom lies in the mind. One cannot attain freedom with the help of sword, or pen, or muscle.

He (Shiva) looked deeply into human psychology and found that human beings do not really want happiness.--They want absolute peace. Peace is better than happiness.

Try to penetrate as deeply as you can into your mind, and deep moving, proceed on, proceed on. But do not forget the realities of the external world, because if you ignore the external realities, your internal peace will also be disturbed.

Those who pursue this path of divine adoration are called devotees.

They (the devotees) continue their efforts to attain the Supreme with the physical and psychic strength already bestowed upon them by the Supreme Entity. To ask for extra power without first utilizing the power already given to them would be to show disrespect to Parama Purus’a. Only after all their power has been totally exhausted may they ask Parama Purus’a for anything. If he so desires, Parama Purus’a may grant that request through some third entity. While utilizing one’s energy one should pray to Parama Purusa, « O Lord, I am working with the strength given by You. Let me not forget You O Lord. »
