An interpretation of some predictions of Nostradamus

Quatrain II/29:

"The  oriental will come out of his seat

He will pass over the Apenins and see Gaule

He will cross over the air, the water, and the snow

And will beat everybody with his rod"

PR Sarkar was born and lived in India. He traveled to Fiesch (Switzerland), and visited Lyon in France. He visited the Alps, and took a cable car that led him to a snowy summit, where He gave a discourse to His disciples.

As a guru, P. R Sarkar takes the entire responsibility for the spiritual development of his disciples. As does a good father, he loves and punishes as well. Being a strict disciplinarian, he does not hesitate to beat a male disciple with his stick when necessary. In 1981, thousands of disciples from all over the world rushed to Calcutta to receive such "punishment" from their Guru. Even in the figurative interpretation where the rod refers to hermetism, P.R. Sarkar's Tantrik teaching and practices qualifies.

Quatrain on the red color:

"Against the red ones, religions will unite..."

All monks and nuns of Ananda Marga wear deep orange, nearly red uniforms.

Quatrain I/96:

"A man will be charged with destroying

the temples and religions altered by fantasy

He will come to harm more the stones than the livings

By and agile tongue filling up the ears"

Eloquent attacks of religious dogmas are everywhere in Sarkar's work. Indeed, according to him, dogmas constitute the major enemies in the psychic sphere. The just, rational and spiritually oriented system of society he wants to establish, caused him and Ananda Marga to be persecuted. He was jailed under false charges for seven years, then acquitted, declared innocent, and released at great embarrassment to the Indian government. The last sentence of the quatrain refers to one peculiarity of P.R. Sarkar: he never wrote anything but only spoke, and most of his words and discourses were immediately written down for publication purpose.

Epistle to Henry II:

"..At the eve of another desolation, when the perverted church is atop her most high and sublime dignity...there will proceed one from a branch long barren, who will deliver the people of the world from a meek and voluntary slavery and place them under the protection of Mars."

"...the flame of a sect shall spread the world over..."

PR Sarkar's goal is to free people's minds from dogmatic beliefs, to liberate their intellects. He not only gave many discourses on the subject, but was actually working, through his multi-faceted organization to physically end all kinds of psycho-economic exploitation. He introduced a new theory of history that explains the cyclic evolution of society, from an ere dominated by the laborer mentality, to a military era, and finally to a capitalist era, which is ended by a laborer revolution (a chaotic time of deep changes), followed by another military era, and so on...Dr. Ravi Batra in his book : the great Depression of 1990 summarized Sarkar's theory and concluded that our present society is mostly at the end of the capitalist era. By their revolutionary activities, PR Sarkar and his organization are precipitating the advent of the aquarian revolution, to "place all people (temporarily) under the protection of "Mars", that is the next military era.

Quatrain II/28:

"Second to the last of the prophet's name

will take Diana for his day and rest

He will wander far in his frantic quest

Liberating a great people from imposition"

PR Sarkar recommends to do Dyane (meditation) before starting the day and before sleep. So far he did two world tours. His socio-economic theory (PROUT) is even now serving as the base for a number of mass movements involving millions of people who are working against exploitation for the sake of establishing a progressive and balanced social frame work. The ideas of PROUT are rapidly gaining prominence among social and spiritual revolutionaries who are determined  to free mankind from the bondage inherent in the capitalistic system. By capitalistic, I include so-called communistic systems, where the economic power is centralized in the hands of the bureaucratic state.

Quatrain IV/24:

"Underground will be heard the low voice of holy souls

Human flame to see the divine shine

will cause the earth to be tainted by the blood of monks

And holy temples to be destroyed by the wicked."

Refers to 1975-1976 when Indhira Gandhi declare a state of emergency and Ananda Marga was banned in India. All of the monks that were not in jail had to work hidden, underground. (At the end of the emergency, Ananda Marga was vindicated, and all the monks were released from jail)

Several disciples performed self-immolation by burning themselves to attract the world attention to the plight of their jailed Guru, so that he should get a fair judgement, and be released.

In the short history of Ananda Marga, several monks and nuns were killed by communists, who were disturbed by PROUT mass movements. The last sentence of the quatrain refers to the complete destruction of many Ananda Marga centers by order of the hostile Indian Government during the Emergency period.

Quatrain I/68:

"O what a horrid and sad torment!

Three innocents will be accused

Poison suspected, betrayal of evil guard

Put to horror by drunken torturers"

PR Sarkar was accused under false charged together with three innocent monks. He miraculously escaped various murder attempts in jail, performed with the complicity of the jail guards (including a poisoning attempt that has never been officially investigated until now)
