Has anyone noticed that during band camp a few "advisors" were acting like 12 year olds? Specificly the Dance and Riffle advisors. They were so....bitchy to everyone on the field except "thier girls". Mr. Roth,Mr. Smith, Mrs.L, and even Mr. Leblach didn't

I have to agree with you on every except the dance line. I understand that positions should be assigned according to merit, not favoritism. Now being on squads for 3 years is very good, and I don't mean to put anybody down at all, but by putting one per

If there's one thing in life that I've noticed is that people are only happy if something that happens, happens in their favor. God I miss band, but I sure don't miss such petty arguments, insults, and immature bickering.
I don't mean this as an insult the person who wrote that last comment about the dance line. I just wish to express how I feel. I'd like a response to these comments, but please don't make it a fight with insults.

I have to say that I have similar concerns about violence, hate, and whatnot. I'm not going to bother repeating all of it to save whoever reads this some time.
I'd like to say something about the comment about swimmers. Yeah, it was a joke, but they weren't suspended for the 420 sign they made in the picture. The administration used that as a warning sign that these guys could be drug users, so they tested

Hey guys, I just want to explain myself. You're right, I'm not deserving of being a section leader anymore. I'm not joining band next year. There have been too many problems and conflicts, that staying in band is not to my best interest anymore. Yeah,
okay it's somewhat selfish to say, but if you were donig something that you no longer found fun, was conflicting with other activities, and you didn't have many friends in that activity, would you continue to do you?
I have to say that being in band has been awsome. I really loved it, and I would have been lost without it. It's given me some great memories and a lot of you guys have been great. But I didn't marry the band. Many of my good friends have graduated
or have/are going to quit.
I didn't try out for the stage band this year because of personal issues, which I explained to Mrs. L. I love the stage band! And I will try out for it next year.
I never knew Amy very well untill this year. I always thought that she was a snot and wasn't that spectacular on the trumpet. But I was wrong. She's shown me that she really takes band seriously. When I told her I was quitting she really tried talk
ng me out of it, because we were already losing a bunch of good trumpets, and that me leaving would just add to that. I've heard he stick up for people and she rarely speaks badly about others. Note I said rarely, she's not perfect, as neither are we.
As for next years section leaders, I think Amy (because of her experience and already gained respect from the section), Kevin (for his hard work and dedication) are good candidates. As for the third...that's tough between Joe and Jaime. The both are
ature people and both take band seriously...the like to be good. Jaime has proven herself better at the trumpet though. You can't argue with that, it's a known fact. If joe wants to try to prove otherwise, he could challenge her to something. But I sa
, in a close call like this and a large section like the trumpets, why don't they both be section leaders. I think 4 leaders would be good for the section.
As for me being in the play...I did it to do something new. So shoot me! What? Just because I'm in the band it means I can't do other things. Give me a break. I'd like to point out that I missed 2 practices this year. I had bronchitis one of the t
mes, and I had to go up north the other time.
